- Gain confidence when I'm performing live on stage
- Organise my music pieces together
- Practice my Cello more when I'm at home
Do I think I have achieved these targets?
I do believe that I've achieved the target of practising my Cello more when I'm at home. this is because I make sure that I'm getting around 30 minutes to practice for the next time I need it. So this means that I'm refreshed with basic and maybe a little extra expert skills ready to use for when I need to perform either for recording to post on the blog or for solo public performances which I may intend to continue doing.
I believe so that I still need to work up to the confidence target. I don't know why I'm still afraid to perform in front of people when I've done it a dozen times with the orchestra. I suppose it's because with the orchestra, if I make a mistake, they can back me up, but on my own, if I make a mistake, it's there in the atmosphere. so to prevent this, I intend not to bottle it all up and seek answers and support, not be and attention grabber but the sort of thing to be mentally prepared.
I found out that 3 music sheets can fit onto 1 stand, and for my 15 mins performance, I have 6 music sheets. So for the lessons that could be available, I need to set up all of my music sheets in 2 neat rows of 2 stands and make a recording of it (hope this doesn't count as cheating) to make sure that I'm on the right tracks for 15 mins worth of music and neatly organised and prepared.
